16-04-2025 - Vidiyal Society, a grassroots non-profit organization based in Sathyamangalam, Erode District, organized an awareness program for adolescent girls as part of its continued efforts to empower young women in the region. The session was graced by Mr. Gnanaprakash, a law student from Erode Law College, who served as the special guest. He sensitized the participants on legal rights, safety for women, and the availability of legal support systems, encouraging the girls to be aware and assertive about their rights. More than 30 adolescent girls participated in the session, engaging actively and clarifying their doubts. The meeting was presided over by Mrs. Maheswari, Director of Vidiyal Society. Mrs. Soundarya, community leader from Kodiveri, also attended, and the session was coordinated by Mr. Gopinath. Vidiyal field workers Mr. Christopher and Mr. Pasupathi supported the program. Such initiatives play a crucial role in building confidence and awareness among young girls, enabling them to move forward with courage and clarity in society.
