Vidiyal Society, which has been actively working for the past 11 years in Sathyamangalam, continues its strong commitment towards the social, educational, and economic upliftment of children and women. The organisation operates across nearly 40 villages, supporting the educational development of over 2,750 children and promoting livelihood opportunities for 1,750 women. Its work extends across Sathyamangalam, Gobi, Thukkanayakkanpalayam, and the Kadambur hill regions.
As part of its continuous initiatives, Vidiyal Society organised a Child Protection Act Awareness and Climate Change Awareness Programme for girl students at Janti Britto Higher Secondary School, Sathyamangalam.
The session was led by officers from the All Women Police Station, Sathyamangalam — SSI Megathabeham, Beena Bindhu, and the Head Constable — who provided detailed guidance and awareness to the students.
The training covered key topics such as:
Fundamental Rights
Gender Education
Health & Hygiene Education
Importance of Vocational Skills
Climate Change Awareness and Environmental Responsibility
Additionally, awareness was created on issues such as violation of girl-child rights, child marriage, and sexual harassment. As part of the programme, tree saplings were planted on the school campus to promote environmental protection and climate action.
Vidiyal Society Director Ms. M. Maheshwari presided over the event. Mr. Gopinath from Vidiyal delivered the welcome address.
School Headmistress Ms. Sagayamary proposed the vote of thanks.
