An awareness meeting on the Labour Welfare Board was conducted at K.N. Palayam village, Sathyamangalam Taluk, Erode District. The event was organized by Vidiyal Society. The session was attended by agricultural workers, daily wage earners, and construction laborers. Detailed information was provided about the various welfare schemes offered by the Labour Welfare Board. Topics included the process of obtaining a labour ID card, medical benefits, educational scholarships for children, marriage assistance, and maternity relief. Information was also shared about government housing schemes, pension benefits, and death compensation. The challenges faced by workers were discussed, and possible solutions were suggested. The importance of registering under the Labour Welfare Board was strongly emphasized. Field worker Cristober, Gobinath delivered the awareness speech. The village leader and community representatives also participated in the event. The meeting created a positive response among the workers, motivating many to register immediately. The program concluded peacefully and was highly beneficial to the participants.
