On behalf of Vidiyal Society, Sathyamangalam, a Child Rights Awareness Training was conducted for students at John D’Britto Higher Secondary School. Special invitee Ms. Sneha, a student from Coimbatore Ambedkar Law College, conducted the training for the students. The training covered basic rights, gender education, health education, and the importance of vocational education. Awareness was also raised on issues such as violation of girls’ rights, child marriage, and sexual harassment. The event was coordinated by Vidiyal’s Gopinath. The training was led by Vidiyal Society Director Ms. Maheswari. Welcome address was given by Gopinath, and vote of thanks by the school principal Ms. Sagayam Mary. Field staff involved included Christopher, Kathir, Mohan, and Vishal.
