An awareness session was organized in Poyagoundanur village, which falls under the Shenpagapudur Panchayat of Sathyamangalam Taluk, Erode District, ahead of the upcoming Jamabandhi meeting scheduled for the 28th of this month. The session was led by CF Mr. Christopher, with the support of Vidiyal’s ESP-trained community leaders Mrs. Kowsalya and Mr. Murugan. During the session, villagers were sensitized about the importance of participating in the Jamabandhi process to resolve long-standing community issues. They were also informed about their rights and the significance of active civic engagement. Members of the CL and CCFF groups received training on identifying community problems, drafting petitions, and effectively following up with government officials. A focused discussion was held on how to properly draft and submit petitions. As many families in the village live in a single household, guidance was provided using a related Government Order (GO) shared by SLT Mr. Ambrose to support their case. Based on this, application forms were filled out for about 25 to 30 individuals. Participants were also instructed to attach all necessary supporting documents to ensure successful submission during the Jamabandhi meeting. A total of 3 CL and 18 CCFF members took part in the session.
