In Kambanoor ST Colony of Gobi Taluk, Erode District, evening classes are being conducted under the name CKRC (Child Knowledge Resource Centre). These classes aim to support school-going children, especially from marginalized communities, by strengthening their academic skills and enhancing their self-confidence. The evening sessions are held after school hours and provide a structured environment where children can revise lessons, clarify doubts, and engage in creative learning activities. The CKRC focuses not only on academics but also on holistic development through life skill education, value-based learning, and recreational activities. Children between the ages of 6 and 16 regularly attend these sessions, which are facilitated by trained community volunteers. The program is particularly helpful for first-generation learners who may lack academic support at home. Through this initiative, CKRC ensures that children stay motivated to continue their education and do not drop out of school. It also helps build a strong foundation for their future.
