Vidiyal Society Sathyamangalam

We aim to advance social justice & inclusion by empowering marginalized communities, including children, women, handicapped, widowed women, etc., to foster an equitable & compassionate society.

VIDIYAL SOCIETY SATHYAMANGALAM is a registered non-profit organization in Sathyamangalam, Erode District, Tamil Nadu. Dedicated members, women leaders of the Dalit Arunthathiyar and tribal communities, started the organization in 2014.The organization functions with two-thirds of women as general body members, comprising the majority of the general body members. The organization is run by Mrs. Maheswari, an Arunthathiyar woman leader who has fully dedicated herself to the welfare of the grassroots community and working women of Arunthathiyars and tribal communities for over 25 years in the development field. JJ Nagar Evening Classes Continue with Joy: Review Conducted

06-09-2024 - An evening class is being organized in JJ Nagar, Erode District by Vidiyal Society, with the support of local volunteer Sulochana. Mrs. M. Maheswari, the Director of Vidiyal Society, has a strong commitment to reducing school dropout rates, and through her initiative, over 25 children in the village are now receiving continuous education. Vidyal Society Visits Kambanoor Tuition Center to Support Local Education Initiatives

05-09-2024 - Evening Classes Start at Kambanur Village in Gopi Taluka, Organized by Vidiyal Society An evening class has been launched in Kambanur village, Gopi Taluka, by the Vidiyal Society. The initiative is led by Parimala, a dedicated village volunteer working for the betterment of her community. More than 20 children are currently enrolled in the class. The village has seen a high dropout rate among school-going children, and to address this, Mrs. M. Maheswari, Director of Vidiyal Society, took the step to start the evening class, ensuring children remain consistent with their studies. The initiative has been well-received by both students and parents, who are pleased with the positive impact on their children's education. Earlier, on behalf of the Vidiyal Society, sports equipment like carrom boards and educational materials were provided to support the children's overall development. Vidiyal Society field workers Gopinath and Christopher visited. 05-09-2024 - கோபி தாலுகா கம்பனூர் கிராமத்தில் வித்யால் சமூகத்தின் சார்பில் மாலை கோபி தாலுகா கம்பனூர் கிராமத்தில் விடியல் சொசைடியின் சார்பில் மாலை வகுப்புகள் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த முயற்சியை ஊருக்கு நல்வாழ்வு பெற Parimala எனும் தன்னார்வலர் மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறார். இங்கு 20-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்கள் பயின்று வருகின்றனர். இந்தக் கிராமத்தில் பள்ளி இடைநிற்றல் மாணவர்கள் அதிகம். இதனைச் சமாளிக்க, விடியல் சொசைடியின் இயக்குநர் திருமதி M.மகேஸ்வரி அவர்கள் இந்த மாலை வகுப்புகளை தொடங்கி, கிராமத்தில் உள்ள குழந்தைகள் படிப்பை விட்டுவிடாமல் பார்த்துக்கொள்வதற்காக இந்த முயற்சியை எடுத்துள்ளார். இதனால் பெற்றோர்களும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்துள்ளனர். முந்தைய நாளில் விடியல் சொசைடியின் சார்பில் கேரம் போர்டு போன்ற விளையாட்டு சாதனங்கள் மற்றும் கல்வி சாதனங்கள் வழங்கபட்டு மாணவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்யப்பட்டன. விடியல் சொசைட்டி களப்பணியாளர்கள் கோபிநாத் மற்றும் கிறிஸ்டோபர் சென்று பார்வையிட்டனர்.

Discussion on Small Grain Marketing

04-09-2024 - In the hilly villages of Vinobanagar and Kambanur ST Colony, located in Gopi taluk of Erode district, small grain products such as rye, ragi, millet, and kelp are being sold locally at low prices. Vidiyal Society is in the initial stages of exploring ways to generate higher returns for these products. A discussion was held in Kampanur village to assess the available products and stock within the people. The villagers participated actively in the meeting, showing strong cooperation. The initiative is being supported by field workers Gopinath and Christopher, who are working closely with the local community to ensure its success. 04-09-2024 - ஈரோடு மாவட்டம் கோபி தாலுகாவில் மலைப்பாங்கான இடத்தில அமைந்துள்ள வினோபாநகர், கம்பனுர் ST காலனி ஆகிய கிராமங்களில் சிறுதானியம் பொருட்களான கம்பு, ராகி, தினை, கேழ்வரகு போன்றவைகள் அருகில் குறைந்த விலைக்கே விற்று விடுகின்றனர். அதிக வருமானம் தர கூடிய வகையில் விடியல் சொசைட்டி நிறுவனம் ஆரம்பகட்ட முயற்சிகளில் ஈடுபட்டு வருகிறது. இதனால் கிராமங்களில் கிடைக்கும் பொருட்கள் மற்றும் இருப்புகளை அறிய கம்பனூர் கிராமத்தில் விவாதிக்கப்பட்டது. மக்களும் நல்ல ஒத்துழைப்பு அளித்தனர். உடன் களப்பணியாளர்கள் கோபிநாத் மற்றும் கிறிஸ்டோபர்.

Women Empowerment Program

We focus on women’s empowerment with the objective of stopping sexual torture experienced by fellow women, getting justice for the victims, and providing a safe working atmosphere.

En Nilam En Urimai Program

In the remote area on the foothills of Sathyamangalam mountain 162 homeless Arunthathiyar dalit families were identified, and a survey was conducted among them, after which a program called En Nilam En Urimai was carried out to ensure the basic housing rights of the community, and through that, they received housing patta. More than 2500 people have been provided assistance for safety and basic needs during the Corona period under this program.

500 Adolescents have been trained in self-assertiveness and leadership skills and improved their status.

Welfare Schemes Program

We have organized a program in which welfare schemes for the elderly, destitute, and differently able, pensions for old age and differently able in Gram Panchayats, helpless widows, widows abandoned by their husbands, pensions, and small business start-up assistance has been provided by the Vidyal Society People's Committee.
